Meet Our First Lady

First Lady Tina Y. Pettiford

First Lady Tina Pettiford was born in Centralia, Illinois and was the second daughter of Ira and Doris Fuller.  Her early childhood was greatly influenced by a God-fearing, praying grandmother  (Elizabeth Flippen)  She learned to love the Lord as a child and attended church every Sunday

She was baptized at the age of 13 at Lively Stone Church of God (Mt. Vernon) and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 14 under the pastorship of Suffragan Bishop Paul Evans. Over 15 years, she occupied several positions such as usher board president, Sunday school teacher & secretary, and choir member.  She then served 10 years at Bethesda Temple Church of God (St. Louis) under the leadership of Bishop James A Johnson.

First Lady Tina Pettiford faithfully attends and supports the Midwestern District Council (M.D.C.) in St. Louis, Missouri and attends the conventions of the Pentecostal Assembly of the World.  It was such a convention (2008) that 1st Lady met her love Pastor Anthony Pettiford, which in turn resulted in them uniting and becoming one on October 10, 2010 (10.10.10) at Bethesda Temple by Bishop James A Johnson in St. Louis, Missouri. Since then she has been a member of the HOPTAN and who has worked as the pastor’s devoted helper, assistant, supporter, aide, advisor, serving by his side.

Lady Tina Pettiford holds an undergraduate degree from SIU Carbondale, a Masters Degree in School Counseling, and a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Lindnwood University in St. Charles, MO.  She is a licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois, and a National Certified Counselor.  She is certified as a School Guidance Counselor in Illinois and Missouri.

 

Lady Tina Pettiford ministry is in counseling and helping others. She is currently working as a License Professional Counselor at Central Christian Counseling and Family Services, providing counseling service that covers the entire Southern Illinois area.  Office at Central Church with satellite offices at Meadow Brook Church, Herrin, Effingham and HOPTAN.  She is a member of the Illinois Counselor Association and Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association. Her areas of expertise are: Child & Adolescent Counseling, Individual & Family Counseling. Divorce Care for Children & Adults, Parenting Issues, Depression, Anxiety and Stress Management, Financial Management, and Career Planning.

 

Since 1995 1st Lady has been working for Mount Vernon City Schools, District 80 as a Parent Social Services Coordinator.  She is also a Counselor/Mentor/Facilitator at the United Methodist Children Home (SILAN).
